RULES

General rules​

Teqball can be played with balls used in football, size 5 being the official and recommended size.

Teqball can be played at 2 (single) or 4 (double).

A Teqball game is played in 3 winning sets.

Each set is played until a player/team reaches 12 points. Except in the case of a third set, 2 points will be needed.

Each player/team is allowed to return the ball with a maximum of 3 touches with any part of the body, with the exception of hands and arms.

When playing, neither the table nor the opponent can be touched.

It is forbidden to return the ball to the opponent twice in a row with the same body part.

The “Edge Ball”: when the ball touches the top corners of the table, the point is then to play again.

The “Side Ball”: when the ball touches the side of the table, the point is lost.

The “Net”: during an exchange, when the ball touches the net and the net bounces 3 or more times on the table, the point is then to be replayed.

The “Illegal attack” means not being in the opponent’s camp to return the ball.

Service ​

Each player/team has two attempts to serve and send the ball to the other side of the table.  

Players/teams change service every four points. 

The serving is two meters behind the table and the ball must be sent above the table level with at least one leg in contact with the floor.

The ball can’t hit the net at the serve, otherwise it’s a foul.

Specific rules for simple ​​

It is forbidden to touch the ball with the same body part twice in a row. 

You have to stay in your half of ground, do not pass the net (even laterally at the table).

Specific rules for double

In doubles, a team with a maximum of 3 touches, however teammates must pass the ball to each other at least once. 

In doubles we can pass in the half of his opponent’s court (laterally to the table) but the sending of the ball to the opponent must be done in his own part of the court.

The team that receives the service can choose who from the team receives first after the server has been designated.
